Privacy Policy
Effective: November 1, 2026 · Updated: November 1, 2026
This policy explains what information Farflung Infinite ("we", "us"), at farflunginfinite.com, collects, how advertising and cookies work on the site, and the choices you have. Farflung Infinite is an unofficial fan-made game and isn't affiliated with Farflung LLC. This policy covers this site only, not the official Farflung game at farflung.game.
What information do we collect?
We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't collect your name or email through the game.
- Game data in your browser. Your scores, Daily Infinite results and game progress are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They aren't sent to us as personal data. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
- Anonymous gameplay counts. When a round starts or finishes, the game sends a small anonymous event to our own database: the event type (for example "round started"), the mode (Infinite or Daily Infinite), the score, the date, a random number that only lives as long as the open page, and a yes/no guess of whether the visitor is an automated bot (based on the browser's user-agent string and Cloudflare's bot signals). We do not store IP addresses, cookies, device identifiers or anything that identifies you. We use these counts to see how many rounds are started and finished.
- Hosting and security logs. The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We don't keep our own server logs.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views in aggregate. It doesn't use cookies or local storage and doesn't track you across sites.
- Messages you send us. If you email support@farflunginfinite.com, we receive your email address and message. We use them only to reply and to fix reported problems.
How do ads and cookies work on this site?
We plan to show ads to keep the game free. Ads are provided only by Google AdSense; we don't use other ad networks. Ads appear on content pages, not inside the game.
- Google AdSense uses cookies. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices (US) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- If you opt out, you'll still see ads, but they may be less relevant.
- Learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and How Google uses cookies in advertising.
What is a cookie? A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Advertising cookies help measure ads and, if you allow it, personalize them. Local storage works in a similar way but stays on your device. We use it only for game progress. The site itself sets no cookies of its own.
Do you ask for consent?
When ads are switched on, we will use Google's own consent management platform (the consent messages built into Google AdSense) so that visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads or advertising cookies are used, and, where required by law, visitors in US states with privacy laws can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. A link to change your choice will appear on every page at that time.
How do we use information?
- To run, secure and improve the site
- To count how many rounds are started and finished, in aggregate
- To show ads that pay for the site, as described above
- To reply to messages and fix reported answer errors or bugs
We don't sell your personal information for money. Once ads are on, Google may receive data such as cookie IDs and IP addresses as described above, and some laws treat that as "sharing."
Children's privacy
Farflung Infinite is a general-audience game and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact support@farflunginfinite.com and we'll delete it.
How long is information kept?
Game data stays in your browser until you clear it. Anonymous gameplay counts are kept for up to 24 months and contain nothing that identifies you. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your message. Cloudflare and Google keep data under their own policies.
What are your rights?
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email support@farflunginfinite.com. Because we don't run accounts, most game data is only on your device, and you can delete it by clearing your browser's site data.
